Deutsche Bank AG (DB), a major global financial services firm based in Frankfurt, Germany, has its stock trading on several German stock exchanges and also on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). DB's operations include 1,889 facilities spanning 74 countries worldwide, of which roughly 50% are located in its home market. In 2001, DB realigned its operations into three client-focused divisions: Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Private Clients and Asset Management (PCAM), and Corporate Investments (CI). The CIB division, which is Deutsche Bank's primary growth engine (accounting for 62% of the 30 billion or US$41 billion in 2007 net revenue), includes the firm's corporate banking, transaction banking, and securities activities. Securities activities include equity sales, trading, and corporate finance services. Through this division, Deutsche Bank caters to small and medium-sized enterprises, multinational corporations, and institutional clients. Approximately 85% of this segment's revenue was generated from the U.S. and Europe. The PCAM division, contributing 33% to 2007 net revenue, provides asset management services to retail and institutional clients, private banking services to affluent clients, and public banking services. The CI division, generating 5% of 2007 net revenue, performs portfolio management and risk management services. Apart from these three main units, Deutsche Bank Services Inc. provides corporate services, information technology, and other services. Additionally, Corporate Center, another division, supports cross-divisional management in the company.
