Dassault Systemes (DASTY) provides software solutions for the global product lifecycle management (PLM) market using two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) digital technology. These PLM software applications, solutions, and services enable enterprises across the world to simulate and optimize the continuous production process, from the conceptual stage through the manufacturing process, while the product is in service. Dassault Systemes offers its products and services through two types of solutions: process-centric and design-centric. Process-centric products, which look after the product development, production, and maintenance needs of customers, are offered under the company's flagship CATIA brand for product engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE) the DELMIA brand for digital manufacturing process management SIMULIA for engineering through virtual testing the ENOVIA and SMARTEAM brands for virtual product synthesis, collaboration and product lifecycle integration and the SPATIAL brand that provides PLM software development environments and 3D solid modelers. 3DVIA is the newest of the 6 Dassault Syst mes' brands. Its mission is democratizing the usage of 3D so that everybody can use it in its everyday life, either at work or at home, through the web. Design-centric products and services, which assist customers in product design, are now offered under the SolidWorks and CosmosWorks brands. For the third quarter of 2008, Software revenues comprised of 86.86% of total revenues while the rest was from services and other revenues. 67% of software revenues were recurring in nature. The company's software solutions are mostly related to seven manufacturing sectors: automotive, aerospace, fabrication & assembly, consumer goods, electrical equipment & electronics, and plant design & shipbuilding. In 2006, however, the company expanded into several new industries such as clothing design and manufacturing, medical devices, semiconductors and energy. In 2007, motorcycles and yachting have been added to the growing list of industries.
